Enjoy the jazz festival in November

One of Europe’s oldest and most renowned jazz festivals is taking place this year from October 30 to November 2 at the Berliner Festspiele’s Haus
. What can you expect? A varied concert program with 120 international musicians from 20 countries. In the 62nd edition of Jazzfest Berlin, you can look forward to 25 acts over four days – with a special focus on younger voices and current projects from the international jazz scene.

Inspiration instead of autumn blues: the most exciting exhibitions in Berlin

November is the perfect time to discover Berlin’s art scene – warm, inspiring and independent of the weather. Numerous exciting exhibitions are currently waiting to be explored in the capital: At Hamburger Bahnhof, Klára Hosnedlová is showing “Embrace”, a fascinating installation made of textiles and concrete, while Delcy Morelos creates a connection between man and nature in “Madre” using earth, clay and spices. Interfilm Berlin is the capital’s international short film festival and takes place this year from November 4 to 9. The program includes around 400 films from over 120 countries – international and German productions – as well as 60 events and the popular “Eject” competition. The venues are spread across 20 locations in the city, including Babylon Mitte, the Volksbühne and the Roter Salon.

Dia de los muertos at the Humboldt Forum

While death in Europe is associated with mourning, dark colors and despair, the Mexican festival of the dead, Dia de los muertos, puts the topic in a completely different light. It is celebrated as a colorful folk festival where you can connect with your deceased loved ones. You can celebrate it in the Holzmarkt with live music, face painting and performances, among other things.
