Berlin has a lot to offer in its Christmas market landscape – be it the classic
markets such as at Gendarmenmarkt or Potsdamer Platz, or the more unusual ones such as the Kreativhaus in CANK, mulled wine at the former airport or a winter cruise party. For all those who particularly appreciate the sparkle, we can only warmly recommend the fairytale forest at Dark Matter or the winter wonderland at Tierpark. It certainly doesn’t get boring in the capital in the run-up to Christmas – and the list is far from complete. The next special Christmas market is coming up this weekend: The 20th Japan Market will take place on November 30 at the Festsaal Kreuzberg and will bring a number of highlights for fans, the curious and those interested in Japanese culture.

Konnichiwa and welcome to a world of Japanese culture! On Sunday from 12 noon to 7 pm, you can immerse yourself in another world – far away in Asia. The Japanese Christmas market in the Festsaal Kreuzberg is suitable for young and old alike: A curated cultural program as well as workshops for children and adults make the family day perfect. Traditional Japanese samurai martial arts are also on the program, as well as live concerts with traditional music, dance performances and calligraphy and printing workshops. The handmade products – from accessories, ceramics and stationery to jewelry, kawaii designs and kimonos – attract design fans to the festival hall.
Culinary delights are also at the top of the list here: You can try your way through tastings – a favorite dish for some, a completely new experience for others. Japanese street food and patisserie complete the experience and invite you to experience the Christmas market without a sausage. Design, culture, culinary delights and entertainment – all in the spirit of Japanese tradition.
