Slowly but surely, the season of vibrant colors is beginning. Of course, a blue sky and warm sunshine play their part—but what truly makes our eyes light up is the blooming of seasonal flowers. While it’s currently the best time for crocuses, which you can admire as a sea of purple blossoms in Zossen, the peak season for the next spring favorites is also drawing ever closer. Those thinking of cherry blossoms now will have to be patient a little longer—but another classic is already in the starting blocks. The first tulips have already made an appearance, for example at Breitscheidplatz, where around 50,000 flowers were picked last week. The true splendor of the blooms, however, awaits you elsewhere:The Tulip Market at Holland Park in Schwanebeck takes place from March 27 to April 12, 2026, and is one of the largest and most spectacular spring events in the Berlin area.

Holland-Park is located in Schwanebeck, Brandenburg, and is only about 20 to 30 minutes from Berlin. The roughly ten-hectare complex combines an amusement park, a garden center, and seasonal flower events into a versatile destination that blends nature experiences with entertainment. The tulip market runs until mid-April, perfectly timed for the peak blooming season. During this time, around 100,000 tulips are on display, arranged in various colors and varieties—from classic types to double-flowered tulips and special cultivars—creating an impressive sea of color.
A special highlight is the opportunity to pick the tulips yourself. Visitors can pull the flowers—bulbs and all—straight out of the ground and take them home. There’s even one free tulip per person, while larger quantities are available at fair prices. This makes the visit much more interactive than at traditional flower fields and turns it into an experience that goes far beyond mere viewing.

In addition to the tulips, Holland Park offers a wide range of recreational activities. These include various play areas, small rides, and dining options with a Dutch influence. There are also events and activities that enhance the springtime atmosphere and turn a visit into a special occasion.
The spot is particularly popular because it features a large number of tulips in a small area and is also very easy to reach. The neatly arranged rows and vibrant colors also make it an ideal spot for photos. However, this is not a naturally growing flower field , but a deliberately designed area that is more reminiscent of an exhibition.
