Climbing enthusiasts are in for a treat in Berlin—from one of Europe’s largest indoor climbing parks to Berlin’s largest forest high ropes course. But the climbing adventures don’t stop there. KletterMax.Berlin is a modern indoor climbing arena in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district and is considered the world’s first black-light climbing experience.

The KletterMax.Berlin facility is designed for both children and adults and, thanks to its fully automated belay systems, is particularly well-suited for beginners, families, and anyone who wants to try climbing without prior experience. After just a brief safety briefing, you can start climbing on your own.
In a climbing arena spanning approximately 450 square meters, a total of 30 different climbing routes await, with a combined vertical height of about 225 meters. The varied elements range from climbing walls and nets to creative obstacles such as a giant Rubik’s Cube, a skate wall, or a spider web. There’s also a black-light adventure zone as well as speed climbing, where visitors can compete against each other.
What makes KletterMax special is its automatic belay system. No second person is needed to belay, as modern auto-belay devices reliably secure climbers and lower them back down in a controlled manner once they reach the top of the wall. This makes the facility ideal for beginners, families, and groups who simply want to have fun together.

Children as young as five are allowed to climb . For children up to and including age 11, an accompanying adult aged 16 or older is required, who either climbs alongside them or supervises the children from the ground. Teenagers aged 12 and older may climb on their own with a signed parental consent form. One accompanying adult may supervise a maximum of five children at a time.
A climbing session at KletterMax.Berlin lasts a total of 90 minutes. This consists of an approximately 30-minute safety briefing and 60 minutes of climbing time. Briefings take place on the hour and half-hour. Visitors should arrive about 15 minutes before the start.
No prior climbing experience or special equipment is required. Climbing harnesses and belay equipment are provided. All you need is athletic clothing, clean indoor shoes or ABS socks, and closed-toe climbing gloves. Gloves and socks can also be purchased on-site if needed.
