Berlin is a city where boredom hardly stands a chance. Whether pedaling a water bike along the Spree, visiting an art exhibition in an abandoned movie theater, or spending an adventurous day at a climbing park— the possibilities are endless. Although the capital is also home to Europe’s largest indoor climbing park, summer in particular draws many people outdoors. That’s where the Jungfernheide Forest High Ropes Course comes in : It’s Berlin’s largest forest high ropes course and ranks among the capital’s most popular outdoor destinations.

The Jungfernheide Forest High Ropes Course is located in Volkspark Jungfernheide in Berlin’s Charlottenburg-Nord district. The facility is located at Heckerdamm 260 ( ) and is easily accessible by both car and public transportation. The nearest U-Bahn stations are Halemweg and Jakob-Kaiser-Platz on the U7 line.
The forest high ropes course opened in 2007 and has since grown to become Berlin’s largest forest high ropes course. Every year, thousands of people visit the facility to climb, participate in team-building activities, or celebrate children’s birthday parties. The forest high ropes course spans part of the approximately 146-hectare Volkspark Jungfernheide. The climbing courses run directly among the trees and are harmoniously integrated into the forest, offering visitors a genuine experience of nature.
In total, the forest high ropes course features 15 climbing courses. Four of these are designed specifically for children, while eleven courses are intended for teens and adults. Thanks to the varying levels of difficulty, the courses are suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers. Depending on the course, climbers move at heights ranging from three to 17 meters above the ground. While the children’s courses start at a low height, the most challenging courses lead all the way up into the treetops.

Children as young as six are allowed to climb. However, minimum heights or minimum reach heights apply to the individual courses, and in some cases, adult supervision is required. Older children and adults can use all the larger courses, provided they meet the respective requirements.
The forest high ropes course offers numerous climbing elements such as rope bridges, nets, balance courses, swings, and long zip lines. Before each visit, all participants receive a detailed safety briefing and first complete a training course where they practice using the safety system.
