You’ve probably already found your favorite spots for the Berlin summer. And after all, there are more than enough of them: whether beach bars, green natural oases, or your go-to ice cream shop — the capital has everything you need to cool off and get that vacation vibe . But why always return to the same old spots when the city also surprises with exciting new openings? While we’re still waiting for the opening of the new rooftop restaurant at KALLE, there’s already another highlight to discover: FOUND. This new multifunctional venue is one of the biggest new openings on Berlin’s club and event scene in 2026 and is bringing a breath of fresh air to the capital.
Rather than a traditional nightclub, the new venue sees itself as a multifunctional platform for electronic music, culture, and creative events. The concept focuses on flexible usage options and is designed to evolve continuously. FOUND is located in Berlin’s Tempelhof-Schöneberg district on the grounds of the historic Malzfabrik on Bessemerstraße. The site was originally part of the former Schultheiss Brewery and looks back on more than 100 years of industrial history . Between 2001 and 2004, it was home to the KitKatClub, before the site was used primarily for corporate events and other gatherings for many years.
The site spans approximately 50,000 square meters and can accommodate up to 8,500 visitors. Multiple indoor and outdoor areas allow for a wide variety of events. Two main stages—Shelter and Hall —were opened at launch. In addition, there’s a large garden area and covered dance floors, ensuring that events can take place even in changeable weather.
FOUND opened on June 27, 2026. The grand opening featured a roughly 16-hour day-and-night festival organized by the team from the now-closed Berlin club Watergate . The lineup included Interplanetary Criminal, DJ HEARTSTRING, THC, DJ Spit, Kedi Bounce, DJ Eivissa, and Perra Inmunda, among others.
Owner Mika Schröter deliberately doesn’t view FOUND as a traditional club, but rather as a platform for music, culture, and creative collaboration. In addition to club nights, the venue will also host concerts, festivals, art exhibitions, community events, and interdisciplinary projects in the future. The goal is to create a space that continually reinvents itself over many years and brings together a wide variety of cultural formats.
The industrial character of the site has been deliberately preserved. Historic brick buildings, former brewery halls, high ceilings, and spacious courtyards define its appearance. The area is complemented by generous garden spaces and open event areas. The operators describe FOUND as a place of “constant transformation, ” whose spaces can be redesigned time and again depending on the event.
