One of the reasons why we long for summer year after year is creamy, creamy or fruity-fresh: Ice cream. Even if the ball now costs at least €2. Why shouldn’t two or three of these pass for a summer lunch? And what’s wrong with exploring and trying out as many of Berlin’s ice cream parlors as possible? Here are 9 of our favorite ice cream tickers that always have a cold scoop.
1. Rosa Canina
Hand-picked and perfected: Rosa Canina doesn’t just offer ice cream. The ice cream parlor chain relies on organic ingredients, and the best of them. You can find out how this tastes at the four locations, including Markthalle 9, but also in Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte.
You can find more information here.
2. Duo – Silician Ice Cream
The Sicilian from Kreuzberg. Since 1972, the family business has remained true to the traditional recipes that Papa Duo brought back from Italy. Pistachios and hazelnut cream are still imported, while organic milk and organic cream come from Brandenburg. This quality is good for licking. Our favorites: Avocado, Etna (almond and pistachio), Fior di Latte. If you only eat one ice cream this summer, it should be Duo.

3. Delabuu Ice Cream
For those who like things a little more unusual. Delabuu offers ice cream rolls with numerous exciting toppings. You’ll find everything from licorice snails to Mikado sticks and marshmallows. You can get Delabuu ice cream in Friedrichshain or at KaDeWe.

4. Gelaterie Mos Eisley
Mos Def? Mos Eisley! Just around the corner from the entrance to Tempelhofer Feld is the popular ice cream parlor, which tempts you with flavors such as blueberry sour cream or chocolate chili. It’s best to bring a little time with you on warm days, as it can get crowded here due to the location.

5. Aldemir ice cream
The down-to-earth Turkish classic from Falckensteinstraße in Kreuzberg. No hype, no fancy name, no marketing. Simply very solid, perfectly crafted ice cream. For €2 you get two scoops, for example chocolate-chili or goat’s cheese-fig. Or simply strawberry. Or an ice cream sundae for a few euros more.

6. Vanilla & Apricot
If you like good ice cream, you will love vanilla & apricot. The ice cream parlor impresses with its unusual flavors and sweet design. The ice cream from Vanille & Marille is 100% natural, and you can also find vegan, lactose-free and gluten-free varieties here. The playful ice cream parlor is located 6 times in Berlin, in Kreuzberg, Schöneberg, Tempelhof and Steglitz.

Delicious ice cream, homemade cookies and ice cream sandwiches: Three reasons to direct your steps to Jones Ice Cream. Oh, and there’s coffee too. You’ll find this beautifully designed ice cream parlor in Schöneberg. Definitely worth a visit.

8. Spoonful
The empire of Spoonful (formerly Eismanufaktur) stretches from Neukölln to Wedding. The sorbet is just as good as the caramel, fleur de sel or Belgian cocoa classics. If you don’t know guava sorbet, you’ll love it after Spoonful. Or would you prefer a strawberry daiquiri and Williams Christ pear (see above)?
All information can be found here.
9. Tribeca Ice Cream
Lest we incur the righteous wrath of Berlin’s vegan ice cream fans, we must mention Tribeca Ice Cream, which provides the plant-based alternative to milk & cream ice cream among Berlin’s ice cream parlors. According to their website, the ice cream is based on specially balanced nut milk, coconut oil and cocoa butter, sweetened with sugar or syrup. Also good: Ice cream sandwiches!
