Unusual clubs are no rarity in Berlin. As far back as about 30 years ago, fetish and fantasy parties were held in the capital at a club that was considered the “hardest club in the world” at the time and now houses a bunker with an impressive art collection. But after all, it doesn’t always have to be Berghain, KitKat, or Tresor —even Berlin’s legendary club scene needs a breath of fresh air every now and then. Members of the fetish community have reason to celebrate: ROSA, a new club that stands out even in this experimental capital, opened in September 2026.

In the former premises of the cult club Mensch Meier at Storkower Straße 121 in Prenzlauer Berg, a sex-positive nightclub has emerged that deliberately breaks with the traditional aesthetics of Berlin’s fetish scene. Instead of dark rooms, industrial decor, and a predominantly black color palette, ROSA features pink tiles, rounded shapes, soft materials, and playful details. But it’s about much more than just an extraordinary interior design. The owners aim to create a permanent gathering place for Berlin’s queer, sex-positive, and kink-interested community —a space where electronic music, nightlife, sexuality, and community come together under one roof.
ROSA opened on September 5, 2026, and can accommodate up to 1,200 guests. The club features two dance floors, several so-called “playrooms,” three bars, and an outdoor area. Musically, the focus is primarily on electronic music, though the genres may vary depending on the event. What makes ROSA special is that the club was designed from the outset specifically to meet the needs of the kink community . Unlike typical techno clubs, which are temporarily repurposed for individual sex-positive events, the entire spatial concept here is geared toward long-term use by this community.
The decor also includes three sex swings, large-format photographs of male and female genitalia, and an unusual penis scanner. With this design, ROSA aims to deliberately create a different atmosphere than traditional fetish clubs, which are often characterized by dark colors, metal, and an industrial aesthetic. The spaces are intended to feel friendlier, more playful, and less intimidating, without losing their actual function. After all, ROSA is no ordinary themed club, but rather a venue where diverse sexual preferences and practices can be explored in a consensual setting.

Several specially equipped playrooms are available, some of which are intentionally designed to be brighter than traditional darkrooms. This is intended to help participants see each other better, communicate more easily, and recognize personal boundaries more clearly. However, visiting a kink club by no means implies that guests must engage in sexual activity. Dancing, meeting new people, and socializing are also an integral part of the concept. Spacious lounge areas therefore offer plenty of room for conversations, encounters, and relaxed moments away from the dance floors.
The idea behind ROSA is to provide Berlin’s kink culture with a permanent home. While many sex-positive events have so far taken place in ordinary clubs that are temporarily redesigned for single nights, ROSA is intended to serve as a permanent meeting place for this community.
The operators aim not only to create another nightclub, but also a space where people can freely express themselves, make connections, and live out their sexual identities without stigma. At the same time, they seek to highlight kink as a distinct culture that extends far beyond sexual encounters.
