Easter is just around the corner—and with it comes the time for springtime vibes, a variety of blooms, and a few well-deserved days off. While we’re introducing you to the best events for the long Easter weekend—from Brandenburg’s largest Easter market to Sorbian Easter in the Spreewald —we’ve also got you covered for the time after that. Because what comes next in mid-April? As is well known—depending on the weather—the peak of the blooming season for our favorite flowers. On the region’s longest cherry blossom panoramic trail, you’ll soon be able to marvel at a sea of white blossoms, and much closer to downtown, one of the densest displays of pink blossoms awaits you. But what about the tulips? Don’t worry—they haven’t been forgotten. The best time to experience them is in mid-April at the tulip show at Späth’s Nurseries in southeast Berlin, in the Treptow-Köpenick district.

The Tulip Show is not a single installation, but a meticulously curated variety show featuring around 300 different tulip varieties from all over the world, blooming almost simultaneously. On display are, among others, wild tulips, parrot tulips with their fringed petals, Crispa tulips with wavy edges, as well as classic single and double varieties. This creates a particularly diverse, almost staged sea of flowers.
The tulip show takes place at Späth’s Nurseries at Späthstraße 80/81 in Berlin-Treptow (Baumschulenweg) , mostly on the festival grounds in front of the historic packing hall. It’s important to note that the tulips aren’t confined to a single flower bed but are embedded throughout the entire expansive grounds, creating a comprehensive nature experience.
The best time to visit generally begins in mid-April. The blooms usually reach their peak between late April and early to mid-May. The display is particularly impressive during the “Späth’er Frühling” event on May 9 and 10, 2026. As always, however, the weather significantly influences the exact timing and intensity of the blooms.

The tulip show is part of “Späth’er Frühling,” a large garden fair featuring around 100 exhibitors showcasing plants, decorations, and a wide variety of gardening ideas. The event is complemented by show gardens, personalized advice, and workshops on planting and garden design. There’s also live music, a varied cultural program, and activities for children. The result is a successful blend of flower exhibition, market, and spring event.
The atmosphere also stands out distinctly from classic markets. Instead of hectic shopping, the focus here is on relaxed strolling. The grounds have a strong visual and aesthetic appeal, with intense colors and clearly structured flower beds. Overall, the vibe is reminiscent of a mix between a botanical garden and a spring festival.
