The season of colors and blossoms is currently unfolding in its most beautiful form, and it is by no means only the cherry blossoms that bathe our surroundings in delicate poetry. The tulip festivals in and around Berlin have already demonstrated just how much lightness and beauty this season holds . And soon the stage will belong to the queens of flowers: the roses. Hardly any other place could showcase their radiance more impressively than the Rose Garden Festival in Forst (Lusatia)— one of Brandenburg’s largest and most atmospheric garden and cultural festivals, taking place from June 12 to 14, 2026.

The Rosengartenfesttage in Forst are considered an absolute seasonal highlight in the East German Rose Garden, where the historic Wehrinselpark transforms into a sprawling open-air stage featuring music, light installations, art, and a summery atmosphere for three days . Visitors can expect a feast for all the senses: thousands of roses are in full bloom, creating an impressive backdrop complemented by artfully designed themed gardens and one of Germany’s most beautiful historic parks. The blend of nature, culture, and festival vibes is what makes this event so special.
There’s plenty on offer musically as well. Concerts ranging from pop to Schlager will take place on several stages, featuring artists such as Tim Bendzko, Tom Gaebel, and Olaf Berger. The program is rounded out by DJs and parties that last late into the night.
A special highlight is the “Night of 1,000 Lights” on Saturday. During this event, the entire park is illuminated with thousands of lights, and together with music and laser shows, it creates a unique, romantic atmosphere that ranks among the most visually impressive summer events in Brandenburg. In addition, the traditional coronation of the Forster Rose Queen is part of the program, as are street performers, cabaret acts, and various performances throughout the park.

In addition to culture and entertainment, the festival also features a fairground with attractions as well as a diverse selection of street food, drinks, and dessert stands. This makes the event perfect for a full day out or a relaxed summer evening. The program is clearly structured: The festival kicks off on Friday with the first concerts, Saturday is the highlight with major shows and the “Night of 1,000 Lights,” and Sunday wraps up the weekend with a more laid-back family day and cultural program.
Tickets costbetween 12 and 18 euros, depending on the day( ), and there are also combination tickets for all days. Children under 12 are admitted free of charge. The venue is the East German Rose Garden in the Wehrinselpark in Forst (Lusatia), a spacious and barrier-free park.
