The New Year is just around the corner and, as usual, awaits us with New Year’s Eve fireworks in Berlin, the scale of which is one of the largest in the whole of Germany! Of course, we all want to take in as much of the display as possible, but unfortunately Berlin’s tall buildings often get in the way of our view. We have therefore set out to find the best places to marvel at the New Year’s Eve fireworks in Berlin.
1st largest open-air event at the Brandenburg Gate

“Celebrate at the Gate”: The ultimate hotspot to experience the New Year’s Eve fireworks remains the Brandenburg Gate. For the first time, however, the big ZDF New Year’s Eve party will take place in Hamburg. But Berlin, of course, did not miss out on organizing a party anyway: You can find the longest fireworks display in Europe in 2025 here. Even if money has to be saved, you can expect a music program of pop, classical and electro. Between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column, the two-kilometre-long mile will once again feature a Ferris wheel and four large LED screens.
2nd New Year’s Eve in the Berlin TV Tower

Among tourists, the tower on the Alex may officially be the least popular attraction in the whole of Berlin, but on New Year’s Eve almost everyone would be happy to have a view of the city and its fireworks from here. The viewing platform and the rotating restaurant are without question two of the highest places in Berlin and offer a wonderful panoramic view. To be honest, however, a visit to the TV tower on New Year’s Eve is unfortunately a pseudo-option for many, with ticket prices for the evening starting at a hefty €199.
3. great view also under the TV tower

In addition to the indoor spaces, the Berlin TV Tower now also offers a first-class outdoor option from which you will have a fantastic view of the fireworks at midnight. The New Year’s Eve party under the Berlin TV Tower features a first-class music set of house, pop, RnB, party hits and classics, allowing you to enjoy the fireworks even more.
4th fireworks display over the Tempfelhofer Feld

The same logic applies to the area of the former airport. From the center of the field in particular, you have one of the largest and most unobstructed views of the sky over Berlin. From here, you can enjoy the fireworks from a 360° perspective.
5. amazement from the Moltke Bridge

You understandably want to avoid the public countdown at the Brandenburg Gate, but still don’t want to miss its unique fireworks display? Then the Moltkebrücke is your address! From here, you can overlook the entire government district and have an ideal view of Berlin’s skyline.
6th Flak Tower Humboldthain

It may sound macabre, but for the pragmatic fireworks fan, the platform in Humboldthain is an ideal vantage point, and not just on New Year’s Eve! After all, where can you get a better view of Berlin’s sky than from a former air defense tower…
7th Oberbaum Bridge

The connection between the districts of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg is not only one of the most beautiful bridges in Berlin. It is also the perfect place to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks! This is mainly due to its central location and the direct line of sight across the Spree to Mitte. This opens up a large field of vision of the horizon over Berlin from the perspective of the bridge – the best prerequisite for extensive fireworks viewing!
8th Devil’s work on Teufelsberg

You also have an ideal view of the Berlin skyline from one of the most popular lost places in Berlin: the Teufelsberg. Officially, you are only allowed to stay here during the guided tours offered on the site of the former listening station. Unofficially, a number of urban explorers visit the area every day and a whole community has formed here to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks over Berlin, especially on New Year’s Eve. Should you decide to do so: Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
9th Great Müggelberg

If you want to go a little further out, the Müggelberg is a good option. At 115 meters, it is one of the highest natural elevations in Berlin. From here, you have an incomparable panoramic view over the south-eastern part of Berlin and Lake Müggelsee. Perfect for experiencing the fireworks in all their glory!
10th Ahrensfeld Mountains

In the north-east of Berlin, in the district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf to be precise, close to the city limits, lie the Ahrensfelder Berge. “Mountains” is perhaps a little too kind a word, but the rubble fill is 114.5 meters high, making it one of the highest points in Berlin. The biggest advantage is the unobstructed view over the city, as there are no tall buildings in the immediate vicinity to block the view.
