2 hours from Berlin to what is currently the only Harry Potter exhibition in Germany: original film props, authentic costumes, replica sets such as Hagrid’s hut, Hogwarts scenes, and more!

While one new opening after another is making headlines in the city, be it the largest Asian or Arab supermarket, and while one art exhibition is coming to an end and the next one is already on its way, we sometimes fail to notice that there are also plenty of attractions to see in the vicinity of Berlin. And fans of what is probably Warner Bros.’ greatest fantasy film series of all time should definitely take note: the international traveling exhibition “Harry Potter: The Exhibition” opened at the Erlwein Forum in Dresden on December 19, 2025. It runs until May 3, 2026, so you still have a few months to go. But make sure you don’t let this highlight pass you by!

The exhibition features original film props and authentic costumes from the Harry Potter films and the Broadway production “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” You can also expect detailed recreations of sets (e.g. , Hagrid’s hut, Hogwarts scenes, and floating candles). In addition, there are interactive stations where you can mix potions, cast spells, choose your Patronus, and collect house points. Multisensory effects, from sound and light to animations, as well as the immersive design ensure that you are completely immersed in the magical world. And to make sure you remember your visit for a long time to come and that merchandise fans get their money’s worth, there is a shop with exclusive fan merchandise.

The tour of the exhibition usually takes 60 to 90 minutes. The visit is suitable for all age groups, although some interactive elements may be quite exciting for very young children. Tickets are already available online; they may also be available at the box office on site, if still available.

Prices are around €29.90 for adults; children’s tickets are usually slightly cheaper (according to dpa, for example, from around €25). The exact costs vary depending on the category and date selected. It is recommended to book timed admission tickets online in advance, as it can get crowded on weekends and public holidays.
