The capital is known for hosting numerous unique events – there is always something new to discover. We’ve only just said goodbye to the Fête de la Musique, which showcases Berlin’s music scene at its best. But things are already moving on. Because Berlin can do more than just techno – even if you have to admit that hardly any other city lives this music so perfectly here: from legendary clubs like Berghain to subway plans that explicitly include techno. In addition to its acoustic diversity, Berlin also shines in terms of fashion – throughout the year, the city’ s open and diverse scene showcases a wide range of unique outfits that you won’t find anywhere else. This becomes even more exciting during Fashion Week. And the Berlin Fashion Week July 2025 season starts today!
From June 30 to July 3, BFW SS26 will transform the city into a hub for the latest trends, classic fashion legends, up-and-coming newcomers and established giants of the fashion world. The first day got off to a brilliant start with the show by Clara Colette Miramon, a Berlin designer who founded her label in 2021. Her fashion perfectly reflects the Berlin vibe – characterized by childhood memories, coming-of-age stories and subcultures. Her show presented impressive looks inspired by everything from Pilates reformers to hospital couches that will definitely be remembered. This was followed by presentations by Ukrainian designer Viktor Anisimov, Berlin designer Laura Gerte and Berlin label Kitschy Couture, which incorporates its Sri Lankan and Tamil roots into its collections.
What will BFW SS26 bring in the next few days?
The entire BFW SS26 is characterized by sustainability, inclusivity and the promotion of up-and-coming talent. A diverse program of designers and formats reflects this leitmotif. Particularly impressive is the Berlin Contemporary selection with ten up-and-coming labels as well as community-oriented initiatives such as STUDIO2RETAIL, which strengthen the connection between designers and the public. The renowned names include GmbH, Haderlump, LUEDER, David Koma, Gerrit Jacob, IOANNES, Lou de Bètoly, Sia Arnika, Palmwine IceCREAM and PLNGNS.
Other highlights include the Madomorpho x APOC pop-up on July 2, where around 30 international designers and artists will present their work – an impressive statement of diversity and creativity in contemporary fashion. On July 3, Berlin Curated will celebrate the premiere of a new format that specifically promotes up-and-coming fashion talents from German universities. In a high-caliber fashion show, 10 to 20 selected designers will present their collections. Last but not least, the Best Graduates Fashion Show of the Lette Verein will also take place on July 3. In the impressive entrance hall of Tempelhof Airport, the most talented graduates of the last four years will present their final collections – an integral part of Berlin Curated and an important platform for up-and-coming fashion designers.
Not to be missed is DER BERLINER SALON, a large group exhibition at the Museum für Fotografie Berlin-Charlottenburg. Here, German fashion design meets contemporary photography, with a special focus on the Helmut Newton Foundation. The aim is to strengthen the visibility of German design. Curated by Christiane Arp (Fashion Council Germany) and Marcus Kurz (Nowadays), the exhibition shows over 50 designers in conjunction with Newton’s famous fashion photographs. The exhibition is open daily from July 1 to 6.
