Already made plans for Halloween? We’re here to help with a selection of exciting activities that will sweeten—or maybe even sour—these spooky-fun days, just the way you like it! If you’re still in the mood for a scoop of ice cream despite the fluctuating temperatures, don’t miss out on this special offer at one of Berlin’s most luxurious hotels. On Saturday, October 31, 2026, a sweet Halloween surprise awaits Berliners right at the Brandenburg Gate.

The Berlin ice cream maker EIS ENGELCHEN is giving away free ice cream at its location in the famous Hotel Adlon Kempinski. Visitors can choose up to two scoops from a selection of 24 ice cream flavors without having to pay a thing. The promotion begins at 12 p.m. and runs while supplies last. No prior registration or ticket is required. Staying overnight at the luxury hotel is also not a requirement, as the ice cream parlor is located in the Adlon’s publicly accessible shopping arcade at Unter den Linden 77 in Berlin-Mitte.
The promotion is not only in honor of Halloween but also marks a special occasion for the Berlin ice cream maker. Under the motto “Trick or Treat,” EIS ENGELCHEN will take a winter break starting October 31. Halloween Saturday is also the flagship store’s last day of operation this year. The ice cream shop isn’t scheduled to reopen until March 2027. To mark the end of the season, the company wants to treat its guests and is hosting this free ice cream promotion for the first time. Anyone who makes their way to the Adlon early enough on Saturday can get up to two scoops of ice cream. How long the promotion actually lasts depends on how quickly supplies run out.

Behind EIS ENGELCHEN is a Berlin-based ice cream maker founded in 2016 by Sarah Wand and Robert Tobjinski. Their story began at Café Engelchen in Wilmersdorf. Today, the company produces its ice cream specialties in Berlin-Tempelhof and offers a total of more than 60 different milk- and fruit-based ice cream flavors.
According to the company, it places great emphasis on high-quality ingredients and traditional production methods. The milk-based ice cream is made with fresh cream, milk, and butter, among other ingredients. The ice cream mixture is then allowed to mature for 24 hours before being processed further.
The selection includes both classic flavors and more unusual creations. In addition to pistachio and mango, EIS ENGELCHEN offers, for example, salted caramel and New York cheesecake with strawberry. At the Hotel Adlon location, up to 24 different flavors are available daily. However, it is not yet fully known which flavors will actually be offered on Halloween Saturday.
