Every season has its own charm, and most of you have probably already gotten into the spirit of the new season even before the official start of fall on September 23. With a warm pumpkin spice latte in hand and plenty of pumpkin-themed art all around you, fall couldn’t be any more beautiful. And while there are great pumpkin festivals to discover all around Berlin —and even Brandenburg’s largest pumpkin exhibition —you don’t have to travel far to enjoy them. Right in the heart of the capital, an autumn highlight awaits: The 27th Schöneberg Pumpkin Festival will take place on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026, in the Akazienkiez neighborhood.

For the occasion, Akazienstraße and Belziger Straße in Schöneberg will be transformed into a large autumn festival area. Admission is free on both days . The centerpiece of the festival is more than 10,000 pumpkins in about 20 different varieties. They’re not only displayed for decoration but can also be purchased on site. Those looking for culinary inspiration can also learn about various ways to prepare them.
Culinary delights also revolve around this orange fall fruit. Local restaurants in the neighborhood will serve pumpkin soups, macaroons, cakes, lasagnas, and quiches, among other treats. There will also be other fall specialties and drinks that invite you to take a leisurely stroll through the Akazienkiez. In addition to the numerous pumpkins, a large market with more than 100 vendors from all over Germany awaits you. The offerings range from tea, coffee, oils, and spices to arts and crafts, designer fashion, and jewelry. According to visitBerlin, vendors from all over the world will also be represented.
Families will also find plenty to enjoy. There’s a special kids’ corner for children, while the street festival, with its various booths, invites you to stroll, eat, and linger . Many shops in the Akazienkiez will also be open on Sunday for the festival. The Pumpkin Festival is open on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free on both days.

The festival takes place around Akazienstraße and Belziger Straße in 10823 Berlin-Schöneberg. You can reach the festival grounds by subway, for example, via the Eisenacher Straße or Kleistpark stations. The Julius-Leber-Brücke S-Bahn station is also nearby.
