It’s time once again for pure fashion in Berlin. July kicks off not only with city festivals and Pride Month, but also right at the start with Berlin Fashion Week SS27. From sustainability and circular fashion to diversity and inclusion, and from up-and-coming designers to international talents—from July 2 to 5, everything in the capital will revolve around the future of fashion. At the heart of it all is the official motto: “The responsible movement of freedom, inclusion, and creativity.”

For four days, all of Berlin will be transformed into a runway. In addition to fashion shows, visitors can look forward to numerous presentations, exhibitions, talks, networking events, and parties at various locations throughout the city. Berlin Fashion Week has long since expanded beyond traditional runway shows. The program includes, among other things , designer presentations, pop-up exhibitions, panel discussions, networking events, brand activations, after-parties, and art installations. Many events are open to the public, while others are accessible only by invitation or with accreditation.
The spotlight is on both established labels and up-and-coming designers. Among the well-known names of the season are MALAIKARAISS, TASKIN GOEC, SF1OG, Barragán, Fruché, Kolya Bogatyrev, Marie-Louise Müller, and Mariusz Przybylski. In addition, numerous winners of the Berlin Contemporary support program will present their latest collections.

In addition to traditional fashion shows, the program also features special events such as RAUM.Berlin, Berlin Contemporary, Neo.Fashion—showcasing the graduation collections of German fashion schools—DER BERLINER SALON, and Studio2Retail. The latter brings Fashion Week directly into Berlin’s stores and studios, making the event an experience for the entire city.
The events are spread across numerous locations in Berlin rather than taking place at a single venue. These include, among others , the ICC Berlin, Kottbusser Tor, the Kronprinzenpalais, the Alte Münze, Station Berlin, the Verti Music Hall, as well as numerous galleries, studios, and former industrial buildings. This makes the entire capital part of Fashion Week.
A distinctive feature of Berlin Fashion Week is its focus on sustainability. Compared to fashion weeks in Paris or Milan, topics such as upcycling, recycled materials, local production, social responsibility, and innovative emerging labels take center stage to a much greater extent . These values are now firmly anchored in the event’s official support programs.
