Here’s what to expect at the CelloDuo concerts

To many, the cello initially brings to mind a typical classical concert featuring music by Mozart and other great composers. But the CelloDuo shows that things can be quite different. Here, classical music is interpreted in a modern and surprising way, making it interesting even for people who haven’t been particularly enthusiastic about it until now.
This clearly demonstrates just how versatile classical music can be. Have you ever heard your favorite pop songs or well-known rock hits in a classical arrangement? Even current chart hits take on a completely new sound here.
Experience for yourself just how much fun classical music can be —that’s exactly what you’ll feel at the duo’s rousing concerts. The program ranges from rock and pop covers to chart hits, tangos, and film scores, all the way to classical music. A live experience that gets under your skin—sometimes powerful and energetic, sometimes quiet and emotional, but always full of goosebump-inducing moments.
Who is behind the CelloDuo?

The CelloDuo, consisting of Leo Stoll and Elias Hauth, represents a new generation of young musicians who are reimagining classical music and blurring the boundaries between classical, rock, and pop. With their blend of classical virtuosity and modern energy, they create concerts full of emotion, surprises, and genuine goosebump moments.
The duo was founded in 2018 in Wiesbaden. What began as early performances while they were students at the School of Music and Art quickly evolved into a sought-after project that can now be seen on major stages. Their repertoire ranges from well-known rock and pop songs in new arrangements to classical pieces and their own interpretations. They also experiment with different instrumental combinations and concert formats. In 2019, they were awarded second place at the Leonardo Award .
