Sub-zero temperatures, gray skies, snowfall – not exactly weather conditions that make us feel good. At this time of year, we long for warmth and comfort, which we can of course find at home or in a greenhouse-style café or restaurant. But in a sauna, steam bath, or massage, we are talking about a completely different feeling of well-being. There are numerous spas around Berlin with special highlights: brine from the Catharinenquelle spring, sauna gardens with temperatures of up to 95 °C, or even a floating lake sauna. The choice is vast – but if you just want to stay in the city, you’ll find what is probably the most beautiful wellness oasis in Berlin just a five-minute walk from Berlin Central Station. Vabali Berlin is part of the well-known spa chain, which also has locations in other major cities such as Hamburg and Düsseldorf. The spa experience is redefined here – and we’ll tell you how.

The vabali facility in Berlin covers almost 20,000 m² and includes spacious indoor and outdoor areas with numerous saunas, pools, and relaxation oases. Everything is designed to create an atmosphere reminiscent of Bali and to provide a conscious contrast to hectic city life. Elements of classic German sauna culture meet exotic flair here: wooden architecture, expansive water areas, lovingly designed garden landscapes, and Balinese details create a unique ambience.
Vabali offers ten different saunas on several levels, including panoramic, bio, and classic infusion saunas, as well as various steam baths. The experience is complemented by regular aroma and meditation elements. The pool and water landscape also leaves nothing to be desired: a large pool (approx. 50 m², approx. 1.35 m deep), a spacious outdoor pool and several relaxation pools provide variety and relaxation. Sun decks, loungers, garden areas, fireplace rooms and waterbed relaxation zones offer the perfect environment to switch off and relax.
The spa area rounds off the offer with a variety of wellness treatments – including classic massages (full and partial body), traditional rituals from around the world such as Lomi Lomi or aromatic oil treatments, as well as peelings, special aromatherapies, and partner massages.

With so much pampering, the culinary offerings are not to be missed. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the vabali Spa restaurant – open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with the kitchen open until around 10:00 p.m. Look forward to light, fresh, and balanced cuisine with Asian, Mediterranean, and international influences. The dishes are deliberately chosen to support the spa concept – relaxation, well-being, and new energy. From Vabali Wok (vegetables in coconut milk with jasmine rice) to Korean Pork Bulgogi (marinated pork belly with rice) to the NewMeat Burger (vegan), there is something for every taste.
Important to know:
There is a strict no-clothing policy at vabali. Swimwear is not permitted in the sauna and pool areas.
However, bathrobes or towels are mandatory outside the saunas.
