Of course, we love new things in Berlin: whether it’s a new location for a popular Italian restaurant, new ALDI stores, or exciting openings at the Mall of Berlin. All of this sounds exciting, but sometimes nothing beats the familiar institutions of the past, whose quality we know and appreciate. In the capital, this included Rogacki, a long-established Berlin deli brand that was forced to file for bankruptcy in July 2025. But now there’s good news: Rogacki is set to make a comeback! Entrepreneur Daniel-Jan Girl has secured the brand rights and the time-honored recipes and founded Rogacki Deutschland Holding GmbH for this purpose. His goal is to gradually reestablish the nearly 100-year-old brand in Berlin.

The comeback won’t start right away with a new, large store. Instead, Rogacki will first re-establish its presence at various locations in Berlin. Plans include a cookbook featuring Rogacki recipes, products available in stores and online, as well as various pop-ups and events. Events and catering are also part of the planned relaunch. The cookbook will revisit traditional Rogacki recipes. There are also plans for well-known personalities to present the dishes, recreate them, and showcase them.
This isn’t just about reviving the brand for nostalgic reasons. According to Girl, the goal is to combine the Rogacki legacy with modern Berlin. One example of this is the question of how classic Rogacki dishes, such as the Bulette, can be presented today.
The big move is set to take place in 2028. That year, Rogacki will celebrate its 100th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the company plans to open a new, permanent flagship store. However, the former store on Wilmersdorfer Straße will not be reopened. Instead, the company is looking for a new location.

Rogacki wants to remain as true as possible to its original neighborhood: According to the investor, the new flagship store is to be built in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf again, if possible. The specific location has not yet been determined.
Alongside the development of the new flagship store, select Rogacki products are set to become available again. Sales are planned in retail stores, online, and at various locations in Berlin. A presence in Berlin supermarkets is also on the table, though specific retailers or products have not yet been named.
