Looking for inspiration for your upcoming date? Don’t worry, we got your back! Of course, Berlin offers virtually unlimited opportunities for going out – but chic restaurants, cozy cinemas and much more! But sometimes you just can’t see the wood for the trees and end up settling for half-hearted options that you somehow always choose. So here are a few suggestions from us that promise variety!
A date at the spa
A visit to a spa in Berlin promises a date with plenty of relaxation. Here you can unwind and relax between saunas, pools, whirlpools and treatments. In a quiet environment, you have the best opportunity to get to know each other better without distractions, away from noisy streets and constantly ringing cell phones. The best spas we have here summarized for you.
Date with roses and sunset
Our next idea starts at a more down-to-earth level and then moves on to lofty heights. The Humboldt Grove in Wedding, with its large area, offers an ideal option for a long walk to get to know the area. Ideally, this should then end in the rose garden, just to the north of the park. Rose bushes, fountains and overgrown arcades create a romantic, fairytale atmosphere. In the evening, it is worth taking the somewhat arduous walk to the top of the adjacent flak tower. This remnant from the Second World War is now a relaxed viewing platform from which you can look out over Berlin – ideally on a clear sunset. If you want to continue later, we recommend the Club in Humboldthain which is only a few minutes’ walk away.
Date at the candlelight concert
A romantic atmosphere is also guaranteed at candlelight concerts. These transform various locations in Berlin into breathtaking concert venues. In the glow of thousands of candles, you can listen to orchestral interpretations by various artists. Sometimes the music of Tailor Swift is reissued; sometimes film music by a particular composer is on the program and other times you can expect a classic medley by ABBA and Queen. Make yourselves comfortable in the cozy atmosphere and enjoy an unforgettable date with unique music! Tickets you can secure online.
The smallest club in the world
Admittedly, you certainly won’t fill an entire date with the telediscos. But they are always a memorable experience! The telediscos are discarded telephone booths from Berlin that have been converted into mini-clubs. You can enter here and choose your favorite song for two euros. You can then shake your bacon – shielded from prying eyes – and have photos taken of your mini-party for an additional charge. You can find the telediscos on the RAW grounds in Friedrichshain and in the Katerblau nightclub.
Jack of all trades on the Spree
Speaking of hangover blue: Right next door you will find the Holzmarkt, an area that combines art, culture and culinary delights. The project directly on the Spree has existed since 2012 and offers plenty of space for concerts, performances and street art. On the one hand, there are plenty of interesting options to marvel at and participate in on a small area. On the other hand, Holzmarkt, with its location directly on the Spree, is also an excellent place to sit on the riverbank with a drink. Here, a number of benches, niches and trees provide the perfect backdrop for getting to know each other.
Date with Neon Brush
Let the brush glide gently over the canvas as you give free rein to your artistic streak and express your feelings with vibrant neon colors! At Neon Brush, you can experience an exciting date night where you can get creative together and get to know each other from a different angle. The subdued lighting creates an intimate atmosphere that takes your date to the next level. Click here for the tickets!
Sky over Berlin
The Zeiss-Großplanetarium in Prenzlauer Berg is also an absolute recommendation for a date with an intellectual touch. In the changing program you can take part in a presentation of the starry sky over Berlin. This removes the annoying light pollution from the night sky and allows a rare view of the untouched horizon over Berlin, as it was last seen with the naked eye centuries ago. Typical constellations as well as completely new constellations can be identified and a trip to the moon is also on the agenda Program! If that sounds too dry and theoretical for you, it’s better to move your date to one of the Movie Nights, where a wide variety of films are shown in the dome of the planetarium.
Date over the city with the world balloon
It is hard to miss in the Berlin skyline and yet it is mostly just a destination for tourists: The world balloon. It is one of the largest tethered balloons in the world and takes you to a lofty height of 150 meters. A certain thrill is pre-programmed on this one, which can quickly ignite a potential spark, especially on first dates. Apart from that, there is an impressive panoramic view of the capital, with all the landmarks in sight. The 15-minute rides are available all year round from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., but are subject to weather conditions. Tickets are therefore not tied to a fixed date but can be redeemed within three years.
Beats while bathing
The Liquidrom is also quite easy to identify in the Kreuzberg cityscape. Like a futuristic circus tent, it rises above the roofs of the neighboring houses and is an absolute eye-catcher in itself. Inside, things get a little more exciting: The urban spa lounge has a lot to offer. With its minimalist architecture, it combines light, water and music into a unique experience that is rounded off with saunas, massages and a pool with underwater music. Dates here are particularly worthwhile on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, when DJs play live sets on site.
