“Tanz in den Mai” – not just an excuse to party, but a custom that welcomes spring with open arms and celebrates it with dancing, laughter and joie de vivre. The night of April 30th is filled with a special energy – people stream out, meet up, celebrate and let themselves be carried away by the spirit of optimism. The season that heralds the arrival of summer stretches out its first buds as we dance to welcome it.
And where better to celebrate such a holiday than in the capital of live music? We’ll tell you without any ifs and buts where the best parties are in Berlin! Because we don’t just provide you with weekend and monthly guides on a silver platter, we’re also there for you on public holidays!
Dance into May for techno lovers
As always, techno fans need not worry in Berlin – electro parties are a dime a dozen here. And if there’s also a special holiday coming up, you can look forward to some real banging nights! The “Illusion Special” awaits you at KitKat with techno sounds from DJ Symbiotikka and Too Much Entertainment – it starts at 8 pm and the dancing continues until 8 am!
The May party “Revolting” at Wriezener Bahnhof also promises an unforgettable evening. Lab.oratory, Jorkes, nd_baumecker, Paris Böhm, Romain Fx and Valley Dolly will be playing at Berghain – a line-up that leaves nothing to be desired. And as always, Birgit am Schleusenufer in Kreuzberg has a lot up its sleeve: house, techno, hip-hop and classics provide variety. The open-air location will be transformed into an atmospheric backdrop for your dance into May – with acts such as Dobe, Till Antonio, TraumaMia, Ele Luz, Laxberger and many more.
Dance into May for art lovers
The Amano Bar at Auguststraße 43, Berlin-Mitte, welcomes you on April 30 from 8 pm with champagne and art. Look forward to contemporary works from the SevenStarGallery. The mysterious art gallery at Hohenzollerndamm 120 in Grunewald will also be opening its doors on this evening so that art lovers can dance into May. Enjoy the welcome cocktail “Berliner Goldsuse” and the beats of DJ Soulspy.
And for those who prefer to dance into May in the open air…
There’s plenty for those! For example, the Orangerie in Körnerpark Neukölln, where the “Park Sessions” with Arabic and Egyptian rhythms by DJs Ahmed Eid and singer Jannah Emam alias Juno await you. Fancy a little maritime atmosphere? Then grab your tickets for a boat party – either on the famous MS Havel Queen or in Treptow harbor. And of course there’s also plenty going on in Mauerpark! At the “Peaceful Walpurgis Night”, you can gather around the big bonfire and celebrate together.
