Berlin’s Mitte district has an interesting bar scene to offer, especially around Torstraße! Many tourists in particular spend time here, and the demand for large-scale staging is correspondingly high – be it in the form of innovative drinks or memorable aesthetics.
Amano Bar
Hotel bars are not necessarily blessed with the best reputation. But bars like the Amano Bar actively help to counteract this! In a chic atmosphere, you can choose between the bar on the first floor of the hotel and the one on the top floor to enjoy excellent drinks. The latter offers a wonderful view of the television tower, which you don’t often get in Berlin. It’s worth a visit for that alone!

Betty F***
It’s easy to walk past Betty if you don’t know what you’re looking for! In the cellars below a residential building is a rather small yet interesting bar, which also impresses with its interior. The color red is very popular here and gives the bar an intense atmosphere. Pop classics and current music await you – the best conditions for a fun evening full of dancing and ecstasy! Attention: It fills up very quickly here, so ideally you should arrive shortly after opening.
Candy Bar
The Bonbon Bar scores particularly well in terms of staging! A mystical atmosphere awaits you here, fed in particular by luxurious sofas, velvety cushions and fog. The drinks themselves are very innovative and are served in interesting containers. So it fizzes and bubbles merrily from all the tables. All in all, more than just a bar but a real experience.

Right on Hackescher Markt is a modern gay bar with an interesting flair! It is easily recognizable from the outside by the two vines that form an arch right in front of the door. The interior is less naturalistic and more industrial: Dark iron grilles and bars define the scenery together with dominant wall hangings and the projection of a not-so-virgin figure of the Virgin Mary. The drinks here are exceptionally good and are masterfully mixed by the competent team. The interior is not too big, so it is advisable to come here early.

Katz orange
To be honest, the Katz is much more than just a bar. In addition to excellent cocktails, you will also find an outstanding menu here! The Katz also scores highly in terms of atmosphere thanks to its location. Even before you enter, the Raustaurant-Bar redefines Berlin backyard romance and places you in a cozy embrace of the surrounding residential buildings and a simply beautiful old building from the 19th century, which houses the Katz! The drinks menu then offers a choice between Crescent, Full, Falling and New Moon – i.e. aperitif, cocktail, digestif and non-alcoholic. In addition to the individual categories, the ingredients are also striking. For example, in addition to herbal liqueur, mountain pine liqueur and white pepper are also used for the Shiny Moon. Sounds exciting!

The Milano Bar is characterized as a traditional Italian aperitivo bar. The focus here is entirely on the aperitif, the delicious appetizer before the meal. The ambience takes you back to Italy, at least in your mind, and delicious snacks such as bruschetta or antipasti are served with every drink. The Negroni is an absolute must!
