Anyone looking to celebrate the New Year in particularly exclusive style will have the opportunity to do so on December 31, 2026, high above Berlin. At the “Sphere” restaurant in the TV Tower, celebrity chef Tim Raue will host a New Year’s Eve dinner. The five courses are named after cities: Tokyo, Singapore, St. Moritz, Berlin, and Miami.
Five courses, five cities

The menu includes, among other things, “housewife sushi” with hamachi and char caviar, a wasabi shrimp, and beef tenderloin in puff pastry. The meal concludes with a key lime pie. According to the organizers, each course is also available in a vegetarian version, such as with wild mushrooms in puff pastry instead of meat.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the meal begins at 8:30 p.m. At midnight, all guests will toast together, after which the observation deck will remain open until 1 a.m. The ticket costs 390 euros per person. This includes the menu curated by Tim Raue, a wine or non-alcoholic beverage pairing, mineral water, and hot drinks.
A landmark with an eventful history

The venue for the feast has quite a story of its own. The TV Tower was built between 1965 and 1969 and opened on October 3, 1969. At 368 meters, it remains Germany’s tallest structure to this day. The GDR leadership wanted it to serve as a symbol of the socialist state’s capabilities, while also improving television reception. Today, it is one of the capital’s most famous landmarks and attracts numerous visitors every year. At a height of about 207 meters, the restaurant slowly rotates on its own axis, allowing guests to enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city.
Since Raue opened “Sphere” last year, the restaurant has been blending Berlin history with modern, Asian-inspired haute cuisine. Raue was born in Berlin; his eponymous restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars; and he is also known to a wide television audience through “The Taste.” His cuisine combines high-quality ingredients and diverse flavors in unexpected ways. If you’d like to experience New Year’s Eve in a different way, you’ll need to act fast: seats at this price point are naturally limited.
