You definitely won’t have to go without unique dining spots in Berlin. After all, the capital is anything but boring or mainstream. Every day, a new spot opens somewhere, surprising us and letting us discover new sides of the city. From a bike café in the heart of Berlin to a speakeasy bar in a former women’s prison, there’s something for everyone. And the variety continues: With SUCUX Coffee, Berlin has gained a new café that’s more reminiscent of a futuristic motorsports workshop than a classic coffeehouse.

The permanent café is located at Torstraße 94 in Berlin-Mitte and was developed by the Berlin-based creative studio SUCUK UND BRATWURST. The studio is known, among other things, for its work in art direction, graphic design, 3D visuals, and animation, and has already worked for brands such as Dior, Nike, Adidas, Porsche, and Rimowa.
SUCUX Coffee opened at the end of September 2026 during the Berlin Marathon weekend. For the launch, the café collaborated with the Swiss sports brand On for three days as part of the On LightSpray Tour. From September 25 to 27, the new location thus became a gathering place for runners and the Berlin community. In addition to coffee, there was music, snacks, and various activities related to the marathon weekend.
The most striking feature of the café is the custom-modified coffee machine. It’s a La Marzocco Linea Classic S, equipped with a specially developed 3D-printed SUCUX kit. The machine is called the SUCUX V8 and draws its visual inspiration from a V8 engine . Exposed pipes and sculptural elements give the coffee machine the appearance of an engine rather than traditional café equipment.

The SUCUX concept includes not only the extraordinary equipment but also its own coffee. The SUCUX Racing Blend is roasted by We Roast Coffee and combines beans from Colombia and Brazil. The espresso is designed as a balanced blend and is said to feature notes of milk chocolate, sugar syrup, and almond molasses , among others.
The blend is intended as an espresso roast but can also be used for other brewing methods such as drip coffee, pour-over, or French press. SUCUX Coffee didn’t just appear out of thin air. As early as 2025, SUCUK UND BRATWURST had already experimented with a smaller SUCUX Coffee pop-up at their own studio on Strausberger Platz, using custom-designed coffee equipment. Back then, the focus was primarily on the idea of transforming a classic coffee machine into a sculptural object with a motorsports aesthetic.
With the location on Torstraße, the concept now takes it a step further. What was once a pop-up and a custom-designed coffee machine has become a permanent space for coffee, design, music, and community . The café thus combines the studio’s creative work with a hospitality concept open to the public.
