Berlin has a lot to offer when it comes to nightlife —no one is guaranteed to get bored when hitting up clubs and bars here. From arguably the world’s most famous techno club to extraordinary bars where things get mysterious and exciting. Take, for example, a former women’s prison that houses a speakeasy bar and is now also becoming an adults-only boutique hotel . But the capital’s surprises don’t stop there: another extraordinary experience is coming in October. Behind “The Hidden Archive” is The Storage, which will offer a new hidden cocktail experience in Berlin starting October 1, 2026 .

The location is situated in a secret area of the Sharlie Cheen Bar on Rosenthaler Platz at Brunnenstraße 196 in Berlin-Mitte. “The Hidden Archive” is designed as a speakeasy and cannot be visited spontaneously like a regular bar. Access is granted exclusively to guests who have reserved the experience in advance.
The concept goes far beyond a traditional bar visit. Under the motto “Universe of Senses,” The Storage combines innovative mixology with taste, light, smoke, electricity, physical effects, and storytelling. As a result, the cocktails aren’t simply served—they’re actually staged. At the same time, the typical separation between guests and bartenders is meant to disappear. Visitors find themselves right in the middle of the action and are personally guided throughout the entire experience.
The experience lasts about two hours and currently costs 55 euros per person. The price includes a surprise welcome cocktail, a complimentary drink from the bar, still water, snacks, and two signature cocktails per person from the special menu. Reservations are available for small groups of at least two and no more than six people, ensuring the atmosphere remains intentionally exclusive and intimate. Some non-alcoholic alternatives are available, though not all drinks can be prepared without alcohol.

The cocktails themselves are particularly extraordinary. The Storage combines classic mixology with technical and physical effects, incorporating elements such as smoke, light, and electricity. Among the creations featured in the experience are, for example, a sorbet presented in a Mars-themed display, a drink topped with banana cream and featuring an effect at -80 degrees, and the “Alien, ” which glows in the dark. Since these individual creations are not currently listed on the publicly available menu, they are subject to change and should not be considered a permanently guaranteed part of the menu.
Even gaining access is part of the experience. Anyone wishing to visit “The Hidden Archive” must first reserve the experience online. After successfully booking, guests will receive the necessary information to access the hidden location. The mysterious “password”—or access clue—is thus part of the speakeasy concept.
The first dates are bookable starting October 1, 2026. In October, the experience is currently offered on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, sometimes with multiple start times in the evening. Dates for November are also already available.
