The farm is located at Groß-Ziethener Weg 2 in the Rhinluch nature region, a vast meadow and moorland landscape northwest of Berlin. The farm is not only an agricultural business, but also a popular destination for day trips, with a restaurant, farm shop, events, and seasonal attractions. The concept is based on the so-called “four culinary seasons,” in which the offerings and events change depending on the season.
The asparagus farm was founded in 2007 by the Buschmann and Winkelmann families. They recognized early on that the soil around Kremmen was particularly well suited for asparagus cultivation. The first asparagus plants were cultivated on around 40 hectares in 2008. In the following years, production was continuously expanded, so that today around 200 hectares of asparagus are cultivated. This makes the farm one of the larger asparagus producers in the region, producing up to around 1,000 tons of asparagus annually.

The farm is best known for its white “Kremmener Spargel” asparagus. According to the farm, the soil in this region gives the vegetable a particularly aromatic and slightly nutty flavor. In addition to asparagus, the farm also grows and sells other agricultural products, including blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, pumpkins, and potatoes. The farm also offers free-range geese and ducks from its own breeding program. Many of these products are sold directly in the farm shop or at the farm’s own market stalls.
A central concept of the Kremmen Asparagus Farm are the four seasonal themes that characterize the year on the farm. The asparagus season officially begins in April. Spring is all about freshly harvested asparagus. During this time, many visitors from Berlin and Brandenburg come to the farm restaurant to eat asparagus or buy it directly from the field.
