The festival has been attracting hop connoisseurs to its seductive Wies’n for exactly 214 years. The Bavarian tradition is no longer exclusive to Munich, but has found its way around the world in the wake of globalization. The festival doesn’t even stop at Dubai and Berlin and invites you to join in the celebrations in lederhosen! Find out where you can treat yourself to a beer (or ten) at the Oktoberfest in full costume in Berlin here. And for a simple beer in between, we have a nice recommendation in advance: this is Berlin’s oldest pub.
1st Oktoberfest at the Spreewiesen in Berlin

From 13 September to 8 October, two worlds will come together in the area around Ostbahnhof: just around the corner from Berghain, a cozy Oktoberfest festival will open its doors – with everything that goes with it. For six weeks this year, the Bavarian Band will once again be at the start, and popular events such as “Die wilden Wiesn”, “Wiesn Afterwork” and “Gaywiesn” will not be missing. There will also be Bavarian specialties from the Wiesn kitchen.

2nd Oktoberfest at the Hofbräuhaus Berlin

If Bavaria were its own country, the Hofbräuhaus would certainly be sending its message out into the world! Accordingly, the Berlin branch of the traditional brewery will be dressed in its festive Oktoberfest costume, radiating authentic Bavarian flair in the heart of the capital. In addition to the Bavarian food and beers already on offer during normal operation, which range from hearty pretzels and spicy white sausages to crispy roast pork, a rousing show band awaits you at the weekends to create a real beer tent atmosphere and bring the Oktoberfest feeling directly to Berlin!

3rd Café am Neuen See

The festival barn will be resplendent from September 26 to October 8 and the Oktoberfest band will be ready – the Oktoberfest at Café am Neuen See in Berlin can finally begin! Here, the lederhosen celebrate amidst the idyllic backdrop of the Tiergarten, while the dirndls compete with autumnal flowers. This year, traditional costumes are compulsory – so it’s best to leave your jeans at home! There’s plenty of food and drink on offer: original “Maß” beer and Bavarian delicacies, as well as non-alcoholic alternatives for those who prefer something a little lighter.
