From visiting the world’s largest Jellycat In-Store Experience to an adventure park with more than 100 dinosaur figures —there’s always something to discover in and around Berlin. But where do LEGO fans head? Right on Potsdamer Platz, the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Berlin —a completely indoor LEGO adventure park—awaits in the heart of the capital.
Unlike the large LEGOLAND Germany, this is not a traditional amusement park, but rather a mix of an indoor play area, an interactive museum, rides, and various LEGO building zones. Under one roof, visitors will find millions of LEGO bricks as well as more than ten different attractions and themed areas. The attraction is primarily geared toward families with children. The Center is located at Potsdamer Straße 4 in 10785 Berlin.
One of the special highlights is LEGO MINILAND. Here, Berlin has been recreated in miniature using LEGO bricks. Visitors can discover the capital’s famous buildings and landmarks and experience Berlin from a completely new perspective. It’s as if there’s practically another little Berlin hidden right in the middle of the real capital—only made entirely of LEGO.
In addition to MINILAND, there are numerous other areas where visitors can not only watch but also get hands-on. The Dragon Ride takes you on a journey through an enchanted castle and a dark maze. In the 4D theater, LEGO movies become an immersive experience thanks to additional effects like wind, rain, lightning, and even snow. The LEGO NINJAGO City Adventure features a large interactive play area based on the well-known NINJAGO world. Dino Explorer, on the other hand, takes visitors into a world full of dinosaurs. At LEGO Racers , visitors can build their own vehicles out of LEGO bricks and then test them on a racetrack.
For younger children , there’s the DUPLO Village, designed to look like a small farm . In the Model Builders Workshop, professional LEGO model builders demonstrate various building techniques and offer tips for creating your own designs. Other attractions include the LEGO Factory Tour and the Merlin’s Apprentice ride.
According to the operator, there are millions of LEGO bricks throughout the LEGOLAND Discovery Center. At numerous stations, children and adults can build, experiment, and create their own structures. As a result, a large part of the visit consists not only of classic attractions but also of interactive areas where visitors can get creative themselves.
Tickets are currently available online starting at 19.50 euros per person. At the box office, regular admission costs 25 euros, so booking online in advance can be worthwhile. Exact prices may vary depending on the day of the visit and demand. Additionally, during the week there’s a Happy Hour ticket for visits starting at 2:00 p.m., which is currently available online starting at 18 euros . Children under two years of age are admitted free of charge.
