December is finally here – and with it a whole host of ice skating rinks in Berlin that are among the ultimate winter highlights! We’ve gone on a search and put together the city’s most beautiful ice rinks for you. So lace up your skates, let yourself be enchanted by the wintry atmosphere and enjoy the fun on the ice. We wish you lots of fun – and, of course, break a leg!
1st ice rink at the Neptune Fountain
The fountain directly adjacent to the Berlin TV tower is one of the most famous attractions in Berlin. At the same time, the fountain is also known for its beauty, which captures the god Neptune and his nymphs. In December, the area around the fountain becomes one of the busiest Christmas markets in Berlin every year. In addition to a Ferris wheel, the ice rink around the fountain is one of the big highlights. If you bring your own skates, you can even skate on the slippery ice for free!

2nd Friedrichshagen ice beach
What is a cool lido in summer turns into one of the most unique ice rinks in the city every winter! On a 600 m² area, you can let off steam on your skates against the backdrop of Müggelsee, which looks particularly mystical in winter!

3rd ice rink at Potsdamer Platz
The second of the best ice rinks is also located in Mitte, but this time at the Winterwelt am Potsdamer Platz. In addition to Berlin’s largest artificial toboggan run, there is also a beautiful ice rink for skating and the opportunity to bring your own shoes and skate for free. Free ice skating lessons are also offered for children between the ages of 4 and 7 to train the figure skaters of tomorrow.

4th ice rink Lankwitz

Children can perfect their skating skills in the exclusive ice skating school, while their parents can watch from the ice casino. There’s also curling and rides on exclusive ice karts that accelerate to 50 kilometers per hour!
