First, the drastic rise in gas prices over the weekend, and now roadwork on the A111 between Berlin and Brandenburg. Drivers, we’re sorry to bring you this news—but after all, we want you to always be well informed. Asphalting work is currently taking place on the A111 in the direction of Oranienburg/Hamburg . The section between Stolpe and Hennigsdorf is particularly affected. The first phase of the work will run from September 14 through September 19, 2026.

According to Autobahn GmbH, the renovation work affects the lanes heading toward Hamburg and Oranienburg, respectively. The work will last a total of about two weeks and will be divided into two phases. The first phase of construction began on Monday, September 14, at 8 a.m. and will last until Saturday, September 19. During this time, the Stolpe interchange will be completely closed in the direction of Hamburg. At the same time, only one lane will be available for through traffic during the day. The city of Hennigsdorf expressly warns that traffic jams are to be expected as a result.
For drivers who normally use the Stolpe interchange, traffic will be rerouted via neighboring interchanges. Specifically, a detour via Hennigsdorf and Velten to the Hennigsdorf interchange is recommended. In addition, drivers are advised to follow the signposted detours as needed.

After a brief interruption on Sunday , the second phase will begin on Monday, September 21. At that time , the Hennigsdorf interchange will be completely closed in the direction of Hamburg/Oranienburg . This work will last until Saturday, September 26. During this phase as well, only one lane will be available for through traffic during the day.
The detour in the opposite direction will then run via Hennigsdorf to the Stolpe interchange. Drivers should therefore prepare for two consecutive weeks of traffic restrictions on this section of the A111.
