From an international perspective, there is always something going on in the capital – but especially in January and February, one major event follows another. From the recent first NBA game in Germany to the upcoming Fashion Week and the subsequent Berlinale: Berlin is becoming a meeting place for international stars, creative minds and personalities from all over the world in the coming weeks. And since January 16, 2026, there has been another highlight in the city: Green Week Berlin ( also known as International Green Week). It is not only considered the largest trade fair for the agricultural and food industry in Germany, but is also one of the most important events of its kind worldwide. Until January 25, visitors to Messe Berlin / Berlin ExpoCenter City can discover the latest trends, innovations, and products from over 130 exhibitors.

Green Week takes place every year in Berlin – but 2026 is a very special year, as it marks the 100th anniversary of the first event in 1926. The trade fair offers an impressively wide range of topics related to food, agriculture, and horticulture. In the agriculture section, current developments, trends, and technologies from the agricultural sector will be presented – from modern animal husbandry and crop production to innovative farm concepts. Culinary delights await you in great variety: regional specialties, international cuisine, food innovations, street food, fine wines, cheeses, and sweet delicacies from all over the world. Horticulture and the world of plants are also well represented: an impressive flower hall, the latest gardening trends, sustainable green space concepts, and urban gardening invite you to discover new things. All in all, you will embark on a culinary and cultural world tour with around 1,500 exhibitors from over 130 countries presenting their products, traditions, and specialties.

For trade visitors, Green Week also offers a diverse program of specialist events and expert formats. These include seminars and forums on topics such as climate protection, EU agricultural policy, and innovations in agriculture, as well as workshops, discussion panels, and networking platforms for experts, start-ups, and decision-makers. From traditional farms to modern high-tech agricultural solutions, you will gain comprehensive insights into proven concepts as well as the latest trends in the industry worldwide.
