Formula E fans, the countdown is on! In just a few months, Berlin’s former Tempelhof Airport will once again become the pulsating hotspot of e-motorsports when the impressive e-race cars roll – or rather race – across the field. Since the premiere race in 2015, Berlin has been considered the capital of Formula E and has held the special position of being the only race track that has been continuously represented on the calendar since the beginning of the Formula E series. On May 2 and 3, 2026 , the ABB FIA Formula E Championship will return to the legendary Tempelhof Airport. Two days of electrifying motorsport racing, spectacular live music acts, extensive catering options, and many other entertainment highlights await you.
Speed in a quiet and sustainable way

Unlike their noisy gasoline-powered counterparts, Formula E race cars produce little more noise than a normal car. The electric cars deliver up to 340 hp, accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds, and reach top speeds of up to 280 km/h. Despite their lightness, they are anything but boring – they provide electrifying and exciting moments on the track. Formula E proves that top speed and explosive acceleration are perfectly compatible with sustainability.
Where the past meets the future

Tempelhof Airport has a special history: opened in 1923, it was one of the most important airports in Europe and a vital link for the city during the Berlin Airlift in 1948/49. Apart from a one-off trip to Berlin-Mitte in 2016, the Formula E World Championship has been held at the iconic former airport site since 2015. The vast concrete surfaces and striking terminal create a backdrop where historical atmosphere meets modern racing innovation – a unique setting for the Berlin E-Prix. This represents the future of motorsport: 100% electric, high-tech racing with responsibility.
Formula E – more than just a motorsport event
There is also plenty of action for young and old alike away from the racetrack throughout the day: test your skills on the Formula E simulator, experience exciting shows, enjoy live music and street food. In the Kids Zone, a mini driving school, face painting, painting and craft activities, and racing simulators await the youngest visitors. A special highlight is the FIA and Formula E initiative “Girls on Track, “ which aims to get girls aged 12 to 18 excited about motorsport.
Visit the heart of German e-racing and experience the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, which is much more than just a sporting event. Support local talents such as Maximilian Günther and show your support for the domestic manufacturer Porsche as they compete on the historic Tempelhof Airport Circuit. A varied supporting program guarantees entertainment for the whole family and makes the event an unforgettable experience.
