What is Ballet of Lights?
Ballet of Lights offers you luminous reinterpretations of iconic fairy tales such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty & Peter Pan – packaged in a thrilling dance show. Up to six talented ballerinas, whose costumes are adorned with beautiful light elements, bring the much-loved stories to life in an abridged version within 60 radiant minutes.
The innovative show combines traditional dance with modern lighting effects and casts a magical spell over die-hard ballet fans and newcomers alike. The mix of the dancers’ unique costumes, familiar story elements and a beautiful classical soundtrack give the performance a truly special touch on a visual and artistic level.

The story of Sleeping Beauty looks back on a long tradition – its origins lie in medieval tales and found its way into literature through Charles Perrault’s French version. The fairy tale of the sleeping princess and the redeeming kiss of love has lost none of its fascination over the centuries. In Ballet of Lights, this timeless tale unfolds in a new splendor: sparkling costumes, elegant choreography and Tchaikovsky’s incomparable music interweave to create a sensual overall experience of light, movement and sound.
Ballet of Lights: Cinderella in a radiant show
Most people probably remember the famous fairy tale of Cinderella from their childhood. The story follows the young Ella, who is treated terribly by her stepmother and her daughters and has to slave away for them – until one day she attends a royal ball where she wins the heart of a prince, who then seeks her out through her lost slipper and marries her. The roots of the original story have existed for many centuries, but rest assured: you’ve never experienced it like Ballet of Lights before!
The innovative ballet shows take place on selected dates in the charming Theater im Delphi, a former silent movie theater that was revived in 2012 as an international cultural center and has since served as a venue for various events.
