FLOW – An Audiovisual Journey Along the Vltava
Based on Smetana’s “The Moldau,” you will embark on a poetic journey along the longest river in the Czech Republic. The production reinterprets the work and combines classical orchestral music with modern sound design to create an impressive auditory experience that traces the river’s course from its sources in the Bohemian Forest all the way to Prague.
The journey begins with “The Springs,” a poetic narrative about the origins of the Vltava. This is followed by “The Forest Hunt.” Here, orchestral sounds and electronic rhythms intertwine, making the movement of nature palpable. “The Peasant Wedding” marks a lively musical climax.
In “Moonlight – Nymphs’ Dance,” a dreamy atmosphere is created with harp music and dancing nymphs. Then “Rapids” brings more dynamism and energy with changes in light and sound. “The Wide Vltava” showcases the vast river landscape. Finally, the finale leads to the confluence with the Elbe and concludes the journey festively with the power of nature.

Classical music meets electronic rhythms & light art
Far removed from a traditional concert, FLOW combines the legacy of symphonic music with modern, digital innovation to create a contemporary total experience of sound, light, and emotion. In the Passionskirche, music, light, and impressive architecture enter into a direct dialogue.
Orchestral sounds meet electronic beats and merge into an intense sound experience. A dynamic light choreography reacts to the music, making the sound a visual experience as well. The result is an immersive experience that goes far beyond a traditional concert experience.

Starting June 13, let yourself be enchanted by a unique audiovisual and artistic nature experience at Berlin’s Passionskirche. An ideal activity for any weather —whether as a pleasant respite in the cool church interior on hot summer days or as an entertaining indoor experience when it rains. But regardless of the weather, this show delivers on every front and delights young and old alike .
