Feeling the urge to really browse and snag a bargain or two again? Then this weekend is the perfect opportunity. There’s a lot going on in Berlin right now when it comes to shopping—for example, with the opening of the extraordinary Wild West-themed Edeka at the Park Center Treptow. And for anyone who loves vintage treasures, design classics, and flea markets, the fun continues right away: From October 2–4, 2026, two major events will take place simultaneously at the Karlshorst Trotting Track . While the 14th Designbörse Berlin is held in the historic grandstand hall, the 26th Giant Flea Market spreads out across the expansive grounds outside.

For three days, the trotting track will be transformed into a massive hub for vintage design, antiques, collectibles, and classic flea market finds. It’s even described as Berlin’s largest collectors’ and flea market. Inside, the focus is entirely on high-quality vintage design. The Designbörse Berlin is one of Europe’s leading vintage furniture fairs. In the historic grandstand hall, which spans approximately 1,000 square meters, around 35 international gallery owners, dealers, and private collectors showcase their pieces. Together, the offerings span roughly 120 years of design history.
Visitors will find furniture, lighting, ceramics, glass, art, technical objects, and home accessories. The spectrum ranges from Art Deco and Bauhaus to Mid-Century Modern, as well as design classics from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, and select contemporary designs. There is a special focus on Mid-Century Modern from the 1950s through the 1970s. In addition, items on offer include Bauhaus tubular steel furniture, Scandinavian wooden furniture, and plastic and fiberglass designs.
Among the items on offer are designs by famous designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Charles and Ray Eames, Egon Eiermann, Eileen Gray, Mies van der Rohe, and Wilhelm Wagenfeld. However, the Designbörse isn’t aimed exclusively at collectors with large budgets. In addition to rare and correspondingly high-priced design classics, restored pieces and more affordable original designs will also be available . Running parallel to the Design Fair, the 26th Giant Flea Market is taking place outdoors at the Karlshorst Trotting Track. More than 600 vendors from Germany and abroad will gather there. Items on offer include antiques, furniture, design objects, collectibles, secondhand goods, curiosities, and classic flea market finds. The outdoor area is thus significantly larger and less curated than the Design Exchange, offering correspondingly more opportunities for classic bargain hunting.

The location itself also makes the weekend special. The event takes place at the historic Karlshorst Trotting Track in Lichtenberg. The Designbörse moves into the historic grandstand hall beneath the spectator stands, while the flea market spreads out across the outdoor grounds. The address is Treskowallee 159, 10318 Berlin. The trotting track is just a few minutes’ walk from the Karlshorst S-Bahn station. Tram lines M17, 21, 27, and 37, as well as bus lines 296 and 396, also serve the area.
The Designbörse kicks off on Friday, October 2, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a public preview. On Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. A regular one-day ticket costs 5 euros. Admission to the preview on Friday costs 10 euros, but this ticket is then valid for all three days of the event. Children under 14 are admitted free of charge.
