Did you think thermal spas were just for winter? Sure, there’s something appealing about warming up in the sauna while it’s freezing outside. But many thermal spas are also ideal destinations in the summer. Some of Brandenburg’s most beautiful thermal spas delight visitors with spacious outdoor areas, outdoor saunas, saltwater pools, and other wellness offerings, making them a relaxing alternative to outdoor swimming pools. The Kristall Therme Bad Wilsnack is one of them. It’s among the most popular wellness destinations in the Berlin area and is located in Prignitz.

The centerpiece of the Kristall Therme is the approximately 600-square-meter saltwater lake, which is fed by water from its own brine spring. The water, which is about 32 degrees Celsius, has a salinity of 24 percent, allowing the body to float almost weightlessly on the water’s surface. The saltwater lake connects the indoor and outdoor areas and, with a water depth of about 1.10 to 1.30 meters, offers a unique bathing experience. In addition to the saltwater lake, you’ll find other brine and thermal pools with brine concentrations of 1.5, 5, and 12 percent. There’s also a whirlpool, a current channel, bubble loungers, and a dedicated parent-child area. In total, guests have access to approximately 1,800 square meters of water area.
Sauna enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy here. The spacious sauna village features eight themed saunas, three of which are indoors and five outdoors. Temperatures range from 70 to 100 degrees. The offerings are complemented by an Ottoman hammam, two steam baths, as well as regular infusions and rotating sauna events such as musical or cultural evenings. In the summer, the outdoor area invites you to relax and feels more like a small vacation resort than a traditional spa. A sandy beach, lounge chairs, thatched-roof umbrellas, well-manicured gardens, and spacious sunbathing lawns create a genuine vacation atmosphere.

In addition, the Kristall Therme offers free water aerobics several times a day, a gemstone meditation grotto, various massages and wellness treatments, as well as a restaurant. Free parking is also available.
Attractive summer offers are also available through August 23, 2026 . Visitors receive 15 admissions for the price of 10, and the admission tickets remain valid for five years. In addition, there’s a 10-euro dining voucher and a free raffle entry with the chance to win an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly pass. Children under six years of age get free admission, and teens between six and 15 years of age pay only half price through the end of August.
