Fancy a little party to really get into the summer spirit? Then you should mark the coming weekend on your calendar now. While the Rosengartenfesttage are still drawing crowds this weekend, things will be much more action-packed a week later at the Havelfest. The largest folk festival in the city of Brandenburg an der Havel is back: From June 19 to 21, 2026 , the 61st Havelfest will once again transform the banks of the Havel around the Jahrtausendbrücke into a massive festival zone featuring concerts, dragon boat races, and plenty of festival spirit.

For more than six decades, the Havelfest has been one of the region’s most important events, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The city itself is one of the oldest in Brandenburg and is often referred to as the “city on the river” due to its numerous waterways.
The Havelfest traditionally takes place on the third weekend in June and will be celebrated for the 61st time in 2026. Along the banks of the Havel, visitors can expect multiple stages, rides, market stalls, food and drink options, hands-on activities, and an extensive music and family program.
Among the biggest highlights of this year’s program are performances by the cult bands “Die Prinzen” and “No Angels.” Both acts will perform on Friday evening on the Stadtwerke stage on Heinrich-Heine-Ufer . With more than five million records sold, No Angels are considered the most successful German girl group, while Die Prinzen rank among the most successful German pop bands of all time. Around 5,000 visitors are expected at the concert venue.
In addition to the concerts, guests can look forward to a varied weekend featuring live music, children’s activities, street art, a fairground, rides, and a wide range of culinary offerings. The traditional dragon boat race is once again one of the festival’s highlights and has been among the most popular attractions for years.

The events are spread across several areas along the Havel. A large festival area with stages, booths, and attractions for all age groups will be set up around the Jahrtausendbrücke. The Havelfest is thus considered one of the largest city and folk festivals in the state of Brandenburg.
The setting is particularly charming: The festival grounds are located right on the water and offer views of the historic old town, the Havel River, and the city’s numerous bridges. As a result, the Havelfest uniquely combines concerts, a carnival atmosphere, and maritime flair.
