Berlin is in festive fever: Christmas is just a day away and the final preparations for the big celebration are in full swing. Spending time with family and friends is at the top of the to-do list. But what else is there to do apart from Christmas dinner at home, atmospheric parks with lights, Christmas markets and ice rinks? For the ultimate entertainment, there is an event that is one of the most famous in Germany and has returned to Berlin this year: the Roncalli Christmas Circus. It has been thrilling audiences at the Tempodrom for a few days now and will be inviting them to a festival full of amazement, sparkling lights and wonder until January 4, 2026. When Circus Roncalli unpacks its magical surprises for the most beautiful festival of the year, the eyes of young and old alike light up.

Circus Roncalli is not only one of the most famous circuses in Germany, but also enjoys a high international reputation. It has been a permanent fixture in the cultural landscape since 1976 and regularly performs in major German cities – the Christmas productions are usually completely sold out. For the 21st edition, the ensemble led by Roncalli founder and director Bernhard Paul has prepared some very special highlights. You can expect weightless acrobats, dancing snowflakes and magical clowns. The Tempodrom is festively decorated and transformed into a magical circus world where traditional entertainment with poetry, live music and subtle humor take center stage.
For some years now, Circus Roncalli has also been known for consistently dispensing with live animals and instead relying on artistic visualizations such as holograms. An extraordinary experience for families, couples and groups of friends – perfect for the festive season. The Roncalli Christmas Circus takes place on both December 24 and 25. In addition, a New Year’s Eve special awaits you on December 31, 2025 together with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin. Further afternoon and evening shows will follow until January 4, 2026. Tickets are available from around €29.90, depending on the date and seating category.
