Berlin’s nightlife is known above all for its underground clubs with an urban, raw, almost bizarre aesthetic – places where techno pulsates until dawn. Long nights can be celebrated in Berlin’s most famous club, for example, which was once a thermal power station. Or in locations where latex, leather and vinyl outfits make entry easier. Others score points with spacious outdoor areas where you can rave for up to 72 hours. When it comes to electronic music, the list could go on and on – but Berlin also has another side to offer. There are places that have left their industrial past behind and created something completely new: chic, elegant, classy. The Maison Papillon at the Zoologischer Garten is a place for anyone who wants to let their napkins whirl through the air after an exclusive dinner and head straight into the night – without any club hopping. Created in a former paint shop under the S-Bahn tracks, this extraordinary place combines a restaurant and bar in one. Glamor, modern design and mid-century flair come together here – a piece of New York in the 70s in the middle of Berlin.

Since January 2023, Papillon in Berlin has been offering an exclusive dinner & dance experience. Here you will not only enjoy top-class international cuisine with truffles, lobster, caviar and much more, but also a first-class sound experience. After dinner, it’s time to pop the champagne corks and dance the night away. The Maison Papillon has teamed up with leading loudspeaker manufacturer d&b audiotechnik to provide a real party experience. Covering a total of 640 square meters, the venue combines a stylish restaurant area with a 15-meter-long bar and a cosy lounge. There are DJ booths with professional equipment both at the bar and in the restaurant.
The music played is predominantly house music, which will accompany you throughout your dinner. Here, music is not just background noise, but a central part of the experience – with a real club feeling, only without the hassle of queuing or door stress. Visitors are equally enthusiastic about the cuisine, the atmosphere and the DJs who make Papillon one of the most exciting addresses in the city.

The interior design, which was created in collaboration with renowned New York designer Dan O’Kelly (Dan O’Kelly Studio Amsterdam), is equally professional. The result: a modern ambience with plenty of seating options and an indoor and outdoor bar that perfectly combines urban chic and comfort. Maison Papillon has long been the place to be in Berlin – ideal for a relaxed casual dinner as well as for a special evening of celebration.
