It’s getting windier all the time, leaves are falling left and right and Berlin’s sky is looking increasingly grim. In short: fall has taken Berlin by storm! It opens up a whole new attitude to life in the capital that can’t be experienced like this at any other time of year. We’ll introduce you to activities that will make your weekend in Hamburg extra special. We are regularly here to provide you with the latest tips – but this season deserves some very special weekend activities. And for all those who don’t want to wait until then, we have plans that can also be perfectly implemented during the week!
A walk in the woods in fall

Of course, a walk in the woods is a must in fall! After all, is there anything better than trudging through the rustling leaves in warm shoes? Luckily, Berlin has plenty of forests and idyllic recreational areas to offer. And if your ears are frozen through, a hot cup of tea awaits you on the couch – the perfect Sunday program for the golden season!
Autumn in the botanical garden

Autumn is, of course, a very transformative time of year. Trees and wildlife prepare for the cold season, start to conserve resources and we humans also slow down a little after an exhilarating summer. Only rarely do we become so directly aware of this duality of warm and cold, life and death, as in the botanical garden! Because while outside, as temperatures drop, the local plants reduce their energy and slowly go into hibernation, life continues unperturbed inside the massive greenhouses. This makes the Botanic Garden a beautiful destination for a seasonal excursion.
Relaxation in the Liquidrom

Not the best choice for drinnies so far. But don’t worry: we’ve thought of you too! If all this has been a little too outdoorsy for you so far, you’ll get your money’s worth at Liquidrom. You’ll quickly recognize it in the Berlin cityscape, as it looks like an oversized circus tent from afar. Inside, you will find a spa area, themed sauna areas, steam baths and a thermal pool with underwater music! The whole thing is rounded off by a Japanese-style onsen pool in the outdoor area. Ideal for an autumnal contrast program in warm water and freezing cold air.
Museum visit

During the lavish summer, people simply don’t like to squeeze through the warm halls of museums. But things are different in the fall. That’s when the meticulously tared air in the museum is a welcome change from the cold, damp atmosphere outside. Several museums in Berlin are currently offering exciting exhibitions that are absolutely worth seeing, which we have already listed for you elsewhere.
Adrenaline against the cold

If you want to face the rising temperatures with defiance and a pinch of courage, the Jungfernheide forest high ropes course is just the place for you! Here, all climbers from a grip height (arms stretched above the head) of 1.45 m can expect exciting courses in various levels of difficulty, where you can overcome physical and mental hurdles. The adrenaline rush in the treetops will quickly make you forget the cold that usually tries to sneak into your body.
Visit a pumpkin farm

Pumpkins are as inseparable from autumn as ravers are from Berghain! They serve as an all-purpose tool for cooking, baking, crafting and decorating in the fall. You can stock up on the best specimens from farmers in the Berlin area. You can find an overview here.
Design your own ceramics

Autumn is also the perfect time of year to invest energy in old or new hobbies. At paint your style in Kreuzberg, for example, you can design beautiful ceramics yourself. In the online store, you can stock up on a variety of ready-made ceramics and all the utensils you need for painting. You can then get creative with your chosen medium. This is then fired on site and you can pick it up a few days later. A great activity for rainy weekends!
